I’ve waited sometime to post any news about Red Sonja. Partly becuase I’m not all too interested in the film and partly becuase I couldn’t make heads or tales of what the hell was going on with the production. So, thanks to the really smart folks over at IGN for interpreting what went on at Comic-Con a few days ago, we’ve got some updates! Here’s a few important things you should know:
- Rodriguez isn’t directing, but he is producing.
- Douglas Aarniokoski is directing, a former Second Unit director for Rodriguez.
- And Rose McGowan is still Red Sonja.
- According to IMDB, it’s got a 2010 release date.
What’s more, IGN also has a couple teaser pics that were released at Comic Con featuring McGowan as Red Sonja.
